We all have the innate drive to grow, heal, realize our potential, and live our fullest life.
But we all, at one time or another, need support along the way.
I integrate therapeutic approaches to explore your affective, cognitive, and somatic experiences. Working collaboratively, we create a therapeutic experience tailored to the unique intersectionality and contexts present in your life. I work primarily from a person-centred, relationship-based approach, incorporating tools from other cognitive, behavioural, and arts-based modalities as appropriate.
I am trans, and I use she/they pronouns.
When I was a kid, I either wanted to be a counsellor like the character Deanna Troi on my favourite TV show, Star Trek, or I wanted to act alongside Deanna Troi, starring in my favourite TV show, Star Trek.
As an adult, I am incredibly grateful to be able to perform versions of these childhood dreams every day as an artist and therapist. After working as a theatre actor and playwright for many years, I completed an MA and PhD in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia.
In the therapy room, I specialize in working with trans, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and queer folks, and I am passionate about connections between therapy and art. In my playwriting, I explore narratives from trans and queer lives.
As a therapist and an artist, I want to engage your head, heart, and body.
I acknowledge and respect the unceded and ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, and am privileged to live and work on lands that they have stewarded since time immemorial.
